The Effect of Aquatic-Walking Program on Body Composition and Blood Lipid Factor for Women with Obesity

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of aquatic-walking program on body composition and blood lipid factor for women with obesity. The subject for this study were 10 obesity women. Subject participated in 12weeks of aquatic-walking program[Water depth: 1.3m, Water temperature: 27-28¡É, Intensity: RPE 11-13(brisk walking), Total walking number: more than 4500 step, Walking stride: more than 70 cm] to four time per week for 60 min. And the change of body composition factor, blood lipid factor have been measured before and post 12 weeks respectively. The following results were obtained from this study. Aquatic-walking program group showed a significantly decrease of %body fat as compare with control group after 12weeks of aquatic-walking program. Especially, aquatic-walking program group showed a significantly decrease of triglyceride as compare with control group after 12weeks of aquatic-walking program. As the above results, we could suggest that aquatic-walking program could have an effect on obesity solution when applied to woman with obesity.
